There are many different ways to get your news — iPad, Kindle, iPhone, Desktop, Laptop, etc. How about print media? Although perhaps becoming increasingly more archaic, I still prefer newspapers and magazines over televisions and the Interweb. It’s neat to see the success of niche magazines continue in this day and age — whether it’s automobiles, firearms, gardening, or French cooking there’s a magazine for it. But how about tools? There are home improvement magazines and woodworking periodicals that feature tool reviews but I have yet to find a magazine purely devoted to tools at a newsstand. Below is a list of tool and tool-related periodicals, some of which may be available in print.

New Audi Toolmaking Prints Replica 3D Car

With the advent of 3D printing in recent times Audi has raised the bar by printing the first car; an exact replica of the Silver Arrow.  Audi Toolmaking has the capability to print aluminum & steel 3D object using metallic powder as the base material.  This metallic power is 15 to 40 thousandths of a millimeter, or approximately half the diameter of a human hair.

There is going to be a special show dedicated to “Audi Toolmaking” at the upcoming Formnext exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.  Audi plans to guide visitors through the journey of idea to end product as well as reviewing current industry trends and showcasing all that this exciting three dimensional technology has to offer.

Audi Toolmaking employees over 2,100 employees at 14 locations in nine countries.

Double Click Grey.   That was the winner when deciding what color to repaint the front office space earlier this summer.  It’s amazing what a coat of paint can do to a room.  The paint segued into various other office improvements — perhaps the most important of which was a cork dartboard.
